2010 Trembath Family Re-union
March 3rd, 2010.
After the success of 2005's inaugural event, Heritage League Past President Brian Brewer (shown left) is in the early stages of planning this year's five-yearly Trembath family reunion to be held on November 28th. Based on that experience, this event could attract many people to the town. The Mechanics' Institute has been booked and invitations have been prepared for printing and distribution.
The Trembath family tree will be on display and now contains over 3500 entries and stretches back to Madron Trembath in Cornwall, England. Madron was born in 1600.
As before, this re-union is open to:
- Any Trembath
- All descendants of the Walhalla Trembaths
- All descendants of Madron Trembath (Cornwall 1600)
Brian is himself a descendant of the pioneering Trembath family of Walhalla. His great-grandmother and two subsequent generations of ancestors are buried in the Walhalla cemetery.
This re-union is held on the last Sunday in November of every year ending in -0 or -5. It's possible (and indeed, it's hoped) that this event could attract as many as 200 people!
Anyone wanting more information can contact Brian Brewer on (03) 5622-1442 or via email.
Hope to see you there! |
